University School of Medicine, Department of Surgery is actively recruiting a full-time board certified/board eligible faculty pediatric surgeon. Responsibilities include teaching of residents and medical students and patient care. Opportunities are available for those interested in clinical/basic research.
530-bed facility includes a Level 1 Trauma Center and Children's Hospital in addition to numerous other patient care units. The University's Children’s Hospital provides infant and pediatric care for the state of West Virginia and the surrounding region with nationally recognized programs for the medical and surgical management of congenital heart disease and pediatric neurosurgery.
City is located just over an hour south of Pittsburgh, PA and three and one-half hours from Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD. City offers culturally diverse, large-city amenities in a safe, family-like setting. There is an excellent school system and an abundance of recreational opportunities.
