 Health System has the right opportunity for you that combines the best of both worlds: A successful career and a rewarding home life. Several Opportunities for Internists exists with the Physicians Group/Medical Center in central Lower Michigan. With strong support, including financially, from the Medical Center, the group is able to see Medicare, Medicaid and working poor people. The structure includes productivity-based pay. The practice is located on the campus of the Medical Center and allows the physicians to easily provide inpatient care. The opportunity is with a 250-bed hospital with six partners. You would assume a highly successful practice in an excellent community. An option exists, too, for hospitalists there, with a traditional seven days on/seven days off schedule of 12-hour days. Currently, there are three physicians on during the day shift, each responsible for a maximum of 15 patients. In the overnight, there is one physician on duty. Also the Medical Center has a traditional opportunity in a rural community – just 35 minutes from the city. You would take over the practice of a relocated physician. You would share call with one other internist and three family medicine physicians. Subspecialists rotate into the town from the city on a regular basis and there are no ICU demands. You could have the option, too, of working in the attached nursing home at the Medical Center. A fourth position with the Physicians Group is starting a practice. This rural community is fast-growing and is on I-75, giving you immediate access to the metro areas of the state, as well as ski resorts and the larger bodies of water. In the town itself you will find lots of lakes and streams, woods and open land. It is one of Michigan’s finest tourist destinations. In addition, Medical Center seeks an internist to move into a new office. Medical Center has a new 148-bed inpatient tower (constructed in 2008), with all private beds.
