Hospitalist/Nocturnist Opportunities in Gainesville (Home to the University of Florida)
Medical Center is currently seeking board certified or board eligible internal medicine hospitalists to work 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. shifts 7 on 7 off. Primary responsibility is ER admissions and after hours floor calls. No patient rounding or follow-up. The role of the nocturnist is to be the in-house physician after hours in case of emergencies and to admit patients to the day time hospitalist groups’ services. The hospitalist group bills independently for all of their admissions and the hospital gives an hourly stipend for working during the night. Excellent compensation (to be discussed) and full benefits are offered.
