PM&R or Pain Managment Position in Nevada
Pain Medicine or Physiatry - Need a Board Certified or Board Eligible Candidate with plans to become Certified Currently procedures performed by Anesthetist’s are Epidural steroid injection, Sacro iliac joint injection, Facet nerve block, Medical branch block, Caudal epidural steroid injections, Other never blocks. Could do EMG/NCV, Radio Frequency Ablation preferred. In-Office: trigger point injections, minor joint injections, bursa injections, EMG (if equipment is purchased) OR procedures (if equipment is purchased): radio frequency ablation. Can be hospital-based or solo private practice. Possible opportunity to join a spine program/practice, Call is 10 days per month. We have Fluoroscopy, 64 slice CT, MRI, EMG. Would provide other equipment as needed for a full service practice. Currently there are no other pain specialist or physiatry physicians on staff. We currently have an active pain program in place being staffed by locums physicians We are actively looking for a spine surgeon to start a program that should do about 200 surgeries per year. Income is Pain Management (non Anesthia) MGMA Median =$326,000, 75th percentile = $423,615, Physiatry MGMA Median = $241,182, 75th percentile = $350,103. Will provide Sign-on, relocation, student loan (if appropriate), marketing, practice management(depending on contract type) are all offered on a case-by-case basis. Income is not limited. Willing to consider allowing ancillary income as long as it does not interfere with the full-time status of the practitioner. The local medical community fully supports recruiting a full-time physician to provide comprehensive pain management services and a full-scope of physical medicine services. 20-25% medicare, 10% Medicaid, 10% self-pay and 55 to 60% commercial. Commercial contracts are predominately percent of charges, as high as 95%. The area is a large mining community with significant number of back and other soft tissue injuries. The workforce is highly motivated to return to work following injury. Patients are currently being seen from communities as far as 3.5 hours away
