The Position General description: General Ortho; joint training/experience preferred; and/or foot & ankle Employed through Physician Network Other locations served: Possibility to develop satellite office Academic & Research Responsibilities & Opportunities Potential opportunity to teach at Western Carolina University in allied health program. 4th year athletic training students do rotation in practice. Percentage of IP & OP: 25% IP 75% OP Expected patient load: 7-8 surgical patients a week, plus office visits Reason for open position: Physician relocating for family needs. Community: Located in heart of Blue Ridge Mountains, County contains portions of the Great smoky Mountains National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Appalachian Trail, 2 Federal wilderness areas, and large areas of National forest. Mild summers, due to altitude, and generally mild winters because of southern latitude. Wealth of recreational activities - hiking, camping, golf, mountain and road bicycling, horseback riding, fishing, hunting, downhill skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. County offers a variety of excellent restaurants, and local cultural events, with an active arts community. Asheville is 20 minutes away by interstate with most urban amenities.
