The Position General description: Employed position; outpatient only; for board certified/board eligible family physician or internist open to providing women's health care. Other locations served: N/A Percentage of IP & OP: 100% outpatient Expected patient load: 20-25 per day, 5 days a week Reason for open position: One of eight physicians is relocating to another state to be near extended family. Compensation* Salary/range: Competitive initial 12 month income guarantee; salary based on WRVU Relocation contribution: Actual cost up to $7,500 Standard benefits: Health and disability insurance paid from physician's pre-tax revenue Bonuses: Signing bonus $10,000; Student loan assistance available Attractions To The Position Community: Located in heart of Blue Ridge Mountains, County contains portions of the Great smoky Mountains National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Appalachian Trail, 2 Federal wilderness areas, and large areas of National forest. Mild summers, due to altitude, and generally mild winters because of southern latitude. Wealth of recreational activities - hiking, camping, golf, mountain and road bicycling, horseback riding, fishing, hunting, downhill skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. County offers a variety of excellent restaurants, and local cultural events, with an active arts community. Asheville is 20 minutes away by interstate with most urban amenities. Our group: It is a National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site, which qualifies for Federal student loan assistance. Other: We anticipate that a new internist would be quite busy immediately.
